ITS A BOY!!!

Hello everyone!! well I'm sure everyone has heard that its a boy his name is Mason Ray Miller!! We went to the doctor for my 16 week appointment and didn't expect to find out but I was prepared to beg!! Long story short, Dr. Stone who I love let us take a look! The ultrasound lady was looking and telling us there is his heart, and here is his stomach (which was full!) and then she said are y'all sure you want to know??? and Jon and I almost screamed yes!! She said ITS A BOY!! I was very excited but Jon was THRILLED!! He yelled " That's my boy!!" LOL!! When we left Dr. Stones office we started making phone calls to all of our family and friends!! We also of course had to go get little Mason an outfit! He has a full wardrobe almost! We are so excited though that we cant stop looking!! I go back to the doctor March 29th for another ultrasound since this one was just a quick look!

Second Doctor Trip!

Today I went for my twelve week appointment. I did have an ultrasound done and the baby is VERY ACTIVE! every time the ultrasound lady would get a good view of the baby it would turn, wave its arms, legs and rolling around!! It was amazing!! I had told Jon it wasn't necessary for him to go and now I feel so bad he missed it! We got a cute little picture too, the baby is looking right at you! I'm so excited I am also starting to feel much better despite some sleepiness still! My cravings still haven't changed either... I want vegetables all the time! Especially turnip greens with hot sauce! Weird huh?? We have also pretty much decided on names for a boy it will be Mason Ray Miller and for a girl Maggie Reid Miller! Eight more weeks before we find the sex out though! We will definitely be very happy with either one though!!

What NOT to say to a pregnant woman!

Over the very few weeks I've been pregnant I have noticed people want to tell you everything you should or should not be doing. I welcome all positive information, however I have ran into a few incidents were some people didn't know....." What NOT to say to a pregnant woman" so here you go!


No names will be mentioned to protect the identity of those who are guilty! Haha!

1. "Wow, your getting big! your already showing!"
2. "I know if my hair looked like that I would feel better having it highlighted"
3. "What did you eat?"
4. " I have a friend who was hateful and never smiled the whole time she was pregnant, maybe your like her?"
5. " You know those chips are going to make you gain weight."
6. " You need Carrot Sticks instead."
7. " Sure is going to be hot in August!"
8. " Are you having twins?"
9. "You'll loose the weight!"
10. " Shes happy as long as I throw sweet tarts at her!" (sorry Jon!) haha

Yes..... All of these are true statements and really did happen!! LOL You can't make this stuff up people!! haha

1st Doctor's Appointment!

Well...Today was a pretty exciting day! Its first of all my birthday and it is also our first doctor's appointment! We woke up bright and early (for me and Jon) and went to St. Vincents! My doctor is Dr. Stone @ Sharp and Stone. The first thing they did was of course weigh me....SCARY!haha! Then had me go back and wait in the waiting room with Jon. Then we were called back to the ultrasound room, we got to see little baby Miller and hear the little heartbeat and also got a picture of the little Lima bean!!haha It was great!! As of Tuesday Jan.12Th I will be exactly 8 weeks pregnant and our due date is set for August 24Th! Dr. Stone met with us and answered a few of mine and Jon's questions and he also wrote me a prescription for some new nausea meds. After meeting with Dr. Stone I had to get some blood taken. They took 6 things of blood!! I was fine until we got in the car... I started getting a little queasy so we just stopped and got me a chicken biscuit and that perked me right up! All around it was a great first trip!

Surprise!

Hello Everyone!

I decided I loved all of our friends blogs that I would start one too!! For everyone who doesn't already know... Me and Jon are expecting a little Baby Miller!! I found out December 14th while Jon was sleeping! I knew something just wasn't right and was really nervous! So I went to the local FRED'S haha to buy a pregnancy test! Before I could leave the store I was stopped by the alarm sounding! The extremely loud women who rang me up yelled over everyone one in the store " Don't worry its her PREGNANCY TEST!" I'm telling you.... only me! So I get home take the test and wait.... and waited.... and waited longer! Nothing was happening! Just as I was throwing what I thought was a dud test in the trash I realized that the test had been face down the whole time!! I was very excited to find out that not only that we were expecting but that also my $12.00 didn't go to waste! I wanted to wake Jon up immediately but knew he was so sleepy, he had to switch shifts and had only been asleep about on hour! So I let him sleep! When he finally woke up I had dinner cooked, we ate together and then I told him I had an early Christmas present for him. He opened the present and found the positive pregnancy test, a Pregnancy Journal and What to expect when your expecting! He was so excited ! He came over and hugged me and the only thing that came out of his mouth was "Congratulations!" We were both so overwhelmed that I think that was the best thing he could have said to me! Haha! We are so excited about becoming parents and can't wait till they are here! I also can say that this baby will also have 3 sets of the best grandparents a kid could ask for! Can't wait to share everything with everyone!
